This table covers Frigidaire refrigerator alerts, component codes, and status modes confirmed from owner support pages and technical sheets. Match the exact display, note whether it is in the FZ or FF position, and start with the safe check in the table.

Codes usually appear in the temperature display or alert area; on two-display models, FZ is the frozen-food side and FF is the fresh-food side, so the display position matters for OP and SH. Clear simple alerts with Alarm Reset, Clear Alerts, or Set if your panel has it, or unplug for a minute and reconnect; use a confirmed button combo only for modes, such as minus and Temp F-C for Sb on models that use it. Sb, 77 77, and dF are status or special-mode messages rather than failed-part codes.
The company will ask for it first. It's on a sticker or metal plate, usually in one of these spots:
- Inside the fresh-food section, on a side wall near the top
- Some models: on the ceiling or behind the crisper drawer

Common questions about appliance repair
How do I reset a Frigidaire refrigerator code?
Press Clear Alerts, Alarm Reset, or Set if your model has that button for the alert shown. If the panel has no reset button, unplug the refrigerator for a minute and reconnect it.
What if the code keeps coming back?
A returning SY, OP, SH, or Er code usually means the control still detects the fault. A technician should diagnose those because the check involves internal sensors, wiring, fans, or control boards.
Is H1 the same as HI?
Many segmented displays make HI look like H1. The confirmed Frigidaire wording is H or HI, and it means the temperature is too warm.
Why do older and newer Frigidaire refrigerators show different codes?
Many French-door, side-by-side, and bottom-mount models use SY, OP, and SH style codes. Many four-door models use Er CE and Er T1 through Er T6 instead.
